Throughout the school year of 21/22 the pupils and staff of Scoil Bhride have been learning all about Wellbeing. We have been learning all about how to take care of our bodies and minds through lots of different activities. We hope that by promoting positive mental health throughout the school, we will support all children’s needs. We are very proud to have been awarded an Amber Flag this year for all our hard work. The Pieta Amber Flag initiative recognises the individual efforts of schools and learning centres to create healthy, inclusive environments that support mental well-being .
Check out our video that shows some of the activities that we have enjoyed such as
Mindful moments focusing on meditative breaths
Gratitude activities and school gratitude tree
Wacky Wednesday Pieta House fundraiser where we raised over 300 euro
Creative mindfulness classes with Margaret Palmer Bergin
Exploring and using the 5 ways to Wellbeing
SPHE programs ,Stay Safe and Weaving Wellbeing
We hosted a wellbeing week which included lots of activities such as making worry boxes, calming stations, wellbeing rocks, decorating well being walls and many many more ……
Knowing how to look after ourselves is hugely important for both adults and children. It is a lifelong process. This is something we are very passionate about in Scoil Bhride . We have all been really enjoying this initiative and we will continue to help ourselves be our best selves through mindfulness and kindness !
